Crowned in Gold – Welcome to The Light Of Now

A leitmotif in gold carries the ELIE SAAB Haute Couture Autumn Winter 2015-2016 collection, and appears on high with a selection of regal headpieces inspired Byzantine embellishment and nature’s forms.

As if woven into the hair, headpieces in real-life volumes of laurel and bark lift the looks of the ELIE SAAB Haute Couture Autumn Winter 2015-2016 collection.
As if frozen in gold, they recall both a nymph-like return to nature and the adornment of a regal Byzantine empress.
Bending around the crown, the gilded garland also decorates wrists and ears as filigree fine bijoux. Altogether, they accessorize a collection inspired by the delicately embroidered gowns in shades of rich gold from the ELIE SAAB archives of the nineties.
The Light of Now
Crowned in golden ethereal light, the bridal gown is accompanied by a headpiece that features a latticework structure that blends into the gown’s golden tulle that is embellished with lace. It is both a classic and contemporary holding piece for the wedding veil and creates a captivating profile, an extension of the eyes’ intensity and an elongation of a high, regal forehead.
Like icons found in gilded mosaics of another era, with heads adorned on high, headpieces uplift with style – timeless and strikingly modern.
