the Venice International Film Festival’s
Jaeger-LeCoultre Glory to the Filmmaker 2015 Award

Jaeger-LeCoultre attaches great importance to supporting a unique artistic vision.
The Jaeger-LeCoultre Glory to the Filmmaker Award is the annual prize established by Jaeger-LeCoultre in association with the Venice International Film Festival
to pay tribute to personalities who have contributed to creating and bringing life to the art of filmmaking.

The award will be given to Brian De Palma on September 9th at 9.30 p.m. in the Sala Grande (Palazzo del Cinema)
during the 72nd Venice International Film Festival (September 2-12, 2015), directed by Alberto Barbera and organized by the Biennale chaired by Paolo Baratta.

Following the award ceremony, the 72nd Film Festival will present the world premiere, Out of Competition, of the documentary De Palma (109’) by Noah Baumbach and Jake Paltrow.
The film grew out of the two directors’ spending time with Brian De Palma for over ten years.
It's an intimate conversation between filmmakers, chronicling Brian's six decade long career, his life, and his filmmaking process.
