To add to the list of things that we never thought we needed until Alexander Wang made us realize that we do, are the “furniture” items from his new collaboration with Italian design house Poltrona Frau.
Objects of choice: leather bean bag chairs (throwback!) elevated on polished bronze bases unlike any we’ve seen before, and the ultimate portable trunk bar–in matt black with a soft suede interior.
“I always loved this idea of hanging out in a basement on bean bags,” said Wang, “but taking that youthfulness and re-contextualizing it into something very luxurious and aspirational.
Poltrona Frau has such deep history and incredible knowledge of furniture design. Their level of craftsmanship with furniture is truly distinguished, and together we were able to create something that I’m really excited to introduce.”
Available in the States from the beginning of February, the collection of must-have items will also be available to purchase internationally from the end of April in select Poltrona Frau showrooms and Alexander Wang stores.
