Chanel abre una nueva tienda bandera en el corazón de Londres, y lo hace de la mano del excéntrico arquitecto Peter Marino, que ha sido el encargado del diseño del interior del elegante espacio en donde destaca una enorme escultura en el centro del espacio que evoca las perlas utilizadas por Mademoiselle Chanel.
Tal y como apunta Fashion Telegraph Uk, es un establecimiento de compras más grande de la Maison, con más de 1100 metros cuadrados; en el que Marino ha puesto su toque especial haciendo que el establecimiento sea tan acogedor con una casa, con el objetivo de que los clientes se sientan cómodos en todo momento.
Bond Street es el lugar en el que se encuentra esta tienda única, donde se pueden encontrar todo tipo de productos de la ‘maison’, desde maquillaje y complementos a sus líneas de ropa.
Desde Chanel, Bruno Pavlosky ha declarado que abrir esta tienda por departamentos –cuenta con tres plantas- significa un paso más para la firma, además de que ha indicado que Lagerfeld no ha participado en el diseño del interior, puesto que su labor es la de crear las colecciones.

Vogue UK reported the oppening of the grand new Chanel- the largest Chanel shop in the world - is situated at 158-159 New Bond Street, and spans an impressive 12,600 square-feet.
The three-storey space - which was 15 months in the making - showcases "the universe created by Karl Lagerfeld", and houses everything from ready-to-wear, to fine jewellery and beauty. The interior - spacious and yet homely - is the brainchild of New York-based architect Peter Marino, who has worked on Chanel boutiques worldwide.
A fantastic sculpture inspired by the strands of Coco Chanel's iconic pearls, by Jean-Michel Othoniel, and made entirely from hand-blown Venetian glass, forms the store's centrepiece - and appears as if suspended from the ceiling, rising from the ground to the top of the third floor. The piece is flanked by the boutique's gravity-defying staircases, which have the appearance of floating due to no visible underlying support.
