Jaeger-LeCoultre and Cinema

 

Jaeger-LeCoultre is delighted to pay homage to Charlie Chaplin, an incredible artist both in front of and behind the camera by becoming a partner of Chaplin’s World. In the heart of Manoir de Ban, this unique space allows us to rediscover the last twenty five years of Charlie Chaplin’s life in Switzerland, opening on April 16th.

 

Since 2013 Film Society of Lincoln Center and Jaeger-LeCoultre have partnered in an effort to celebrate the cinematic arts. We are once again proud to celebrate one of its most prestigious events: The Annual Chaplin Award Gala.

This year, the Film Society of Lincoln Center will honor Academy Award winning actor Morgan Freeman, on April 25th with a ceremony at Lincoln Center.


Actor Clive Owen and Jaeger-LeCoultre friend of the brand joined Jury President Meryl Streep on the international jury of the Berlin Film Festival. This year, the jury has awarded the Golden Bear to the documentary Fire at Seas by Gianfranco Rosi, winner of the Golden Lion at the 70th Venice International Film Festival. Clive Owen is currently shooting in Luc Besson next movie : Valérian.

Hollywood’s brightest stars choose Jaeger-LeCoultre on the red carpet. Director Tom McCarthy; winner of the Academy Award for both Best Picture along and Best Original Screenplay, chose a Geophysic True Second to complete his black tie look during the Academy Awards 2016.

Renowned American actor, Steve Carell wore a Master Ultra Thin Perpetual at the Academy Awards.

Director of Beasts of No Nation, Cary Fukanaga sported a Geophysic True Second in pink gold during the Awards Season.


Building on its unique ties with the world of the 7th Art, Jaeger-LeCoultre is proud to be associated with the Académie André Delvaux and the Magritte Awards which annually celebrate the amazing richness of Belgian cinema. For the third consecutive year, Jaeger-LeCoultre is partner of this event chaired by actress Marie Gillain and hosted by actor and screenplay writer Charlie Dupont.
